What the booth builds
- Cast
- Each character keeps a voice across chapters and sequels. Narration sits apart from dialogue, with room for overlaps and asides.
- Score
- Music is written to the scene. It enters when the prose tightens and leaves when the page asks for quiet.
- Rooms
- Stone, rain, a kitchen after midnight. The space is performed with the words, so the story has a place to stand.
- Direction
- Superintelligence reads the manuscript as a director: pace, pauses, who is close to the ear, and who is across the room.
